Welcome to my homepage. I am Assistant Professor of Banking & Finance at the School of Business, Management, and Economics of the University of Sussex since January 2014. Before joining Sussex, I was a Lecturer and post-doctoral researcher in Finance at the Luxembourg School of Finance of the University of Luxembourg. I have also held visiting scholar positions at the Stern School of Business at New York University, the Department of Economics at University of Illinois, and the Department of Banking and Finance at Chulalongkorn University in Thailand.

Alongside his academic activity, I have worked as a consultant and financial advisor as well as a credit officer in the financial services industry. In addition, for more than seven years now, I act as ad hoc Expert witness in court and arbitration proceedings and ad hoc Mediator in bankruptcy cases under the Greek Bankruptcy law (Article 99). Further, I am active registered expert and reviewer of research proposals and projects in the context of European Commission research funding programmes from 2012 (Marie-Curie Fellowships, Horizon 2020, and others).
